Prep up in-essence, apply a good moisturizing hair pack, hair wash using a clarifying shampoo, apply hair conditioner, followed by hair serum. Usually, the hair colouring makes your hair dry. So, make sure your hair is soft, moisturized, with no split ends and frizzy-free. Although you can do it anyway, the scale of damage will be increased.

2. Shampooing before One or Two Days:

Before hair colouring, leave your hair free for 24 to 48 hours, to let the natural oils secreted on your scalp. It protects your hair strands and keeps them healthy for the post-colouring process. If not, the healthy oils will be drained out from your scalp and make your hair dry.

3.Choose Right Colour:

Choosing exact colours does not depend only on the hair type, it also depends on the skin tone too. The hair colour should fuse together with your skin tone, which is necessary to avoid an odd look. Simply, if you love to wear gold ornaments, then go for chocolate brown and platinum. Or else, if you are looking stunning with silver ornaments, then try dark golden brown, warm red or blonde. The bright shades such as red, violet, and copper are extremely elegant colours and are the toughest to take care of. In addition, opt for a paler shade which would be suitable for grey hair people.

Better consult a professional colourist, they should have a clear vision about the skin tone and various options available in hair colouring. Always go with half shades lighter every time to get rid of damage and breakage. And it gives a natural-looking effect too.

In permanent hair colouring, the colour penetrates deeply into your hair shaft to remain the hair colour for a long time. Gradually your hair starts growing after seven to eight weeks. At this time, a colour touch-up is required for the roots of your hair. Perhaps, in the semi-permanent process, the colour will not penetrate very deeply. So, it will stay until 24 shampoos due to low root keeping capacity.

You might also go for ginger shade if you want to deal with low maintenance. Or go ombre, so you only have to worry about it once or twice a year. The extreme opposite is the red colour, which is very hard to maintain as said above.
