How to Keep the Blog Running While You're Away
Due to the evolvement of modern technology, most of the people sticks to work on internet. And the internet is giving lives to many people, who intend to establish their talents and works. The most trending works on internet by creating eye-catching contents are in Blog, Wordpress, Youtube, Instagram etc. I am the one among them starting to do my work in blogging platform. Initially it is like a hobby for me to create a content based on my interest in blogspot. But eventually, it turns to take it as my career to persists for my life time. Well, coming back to the topic "How to Keep the Blog Running While You're Away" where i'm going to narrate here.
When you choose blogging as your career, keep in mind its a 24/7 job for the beginners. Apart from writing, it involves so many behind the works technically. So, as a beginner you have to learn more and more to sustain in the blogging world and to keep your website high traffic. If you are a successful blogger, then you are free to take some breaks as per your planner schedule. The successful bloggers will posts their contents once or twice a week. But, in case of beginners consistency is important to carry the blog as your business.
Whatever the job may be, you need a break or holiday or any personal issues to leave from this blog temporarily. Simultaneously, if you thinking that your blog should be active while you're away from your personal reasons follow some tips here.
Content Management:
When you are planning for a travel or holiday or any other personal reasons, try to set all the contents before that. It is an idea to engage your audience to your blog all the time.
Follow the Timestamp Format:
Timestamp format is an option provided in the blog to schedule your posts to publish in a specific time automatically. Until that, prepare and save your contents in the draft.
Blog During Vacation:
Enjoy your vacation and at the same time allot a little time to take notes about the travel, food, vacation, adventures etc. As your job is purely based on internet, it is easy to edit your content in smartphones and laptops from anywhere. Sharing a bit of your personal life includes your vacation and holidays can build a relationship with your readers and attract them to stick on your website all the time.
Outsource for Writters:
Blog remains off when you are not available. If you can hire someone for writting then it would be easy at your me time.
Guest Posts:
Guest posts are basically free, but in return they will get a backlink for their own website traffic. Use it once you are comfortable to accept.
Plan in Advance:
Prepare a schedule in your planner about the contents to publish. As much as possible, schedule and create a social media update in advance too.
Share Older Content:
If you are not able to to anything in your holidays, then refresh your old posts and add pictures, new feautures etc. Most of your new readers are have'nt seen your old archives yet.
Reduce your Content:
Reduce posting your contents as before in your holiday period. It will not affect much in your website traffic.
Communicate to Readers:
Always communication is important to sustain in the social media platforms. So, let your readers know that you are in a holiday break. Send E-mails short and sweet or a warm holiday greeting include cute images. Giveaways and sending gifts are the perfect plans at this time. If you are a sales bloggers then announce some discounts in the festive seasons as per the budget.
Timebox your Contents:
As per your planner, timebox your tasks to a specific deadline. When finished a task move on to the next one.
Choose Easy Blog Topics:
In this holiday duration, choose a bit sized articles and narrate it in a valuable, informative and it capture the readers attention.
Get Contents From Socialmedia:
If you are not able to create contents, browse the social medias like Instagram, Facebook and Pininterest to grab contents. Most probably choose trending contents to keep the readers more interactive.
Pause your Big Important Posts:
Pause your very important bigger sized articles and concentrate in holiday themed articles like recipes, decor, shopping guide and much more.
Website Maintenance:
If you are feeling free in these holidays, go for website maintenance work.
